On Saturday, July 20, Neil John organised his 2024 Captains Day.
The event attracted 100 golfers for an individual Stableford Competition, and good weather on the day allowed for a great competition.
Neil announce on the day that in excess of £3,000 had been raised for the Captain's Charities.
He also thanked his sponsors Andrew Hicks Ltd, BP Auto Repairs Ltd, Fraser Dawbarns LLP, Jason Boast and AF Golf Peterborough, Vince Day, and Martin Bowman.
Neil also thanked everyone for their generous raffle prizes and all those who took part in a great day of golf at Tydd St Giles.
Captains Day results: Results winner Dave Punshon with 41 points, second -Chris Simmonds with 39 points, third ocb James Neve with 37 points.
Ladies Winner Petra Meir with 36 points, nearest to the pin 4th hole - Daniel Newell, nearest to the pin 8th hole Michael Woodhouse, nearest to the pin 11th hole Graham Ralph, nearest to the pin 16th hole Liam Chapman, nearest to the pin in two 18th hole - Bradley Martin.
Seniors club championship ( rd1) winner Paul Gurney 86-20=66, second Toby North 89-20=69, third Peter Williams 84-15=69, overall nett winner - Paul Gurney 86-20=66, overall gross winner - Paul Chaplain-Barton 81-7=74.
