A festive feast of music is set to take place at the Chairman's Community Carol Service.

The event, organised by Fenland District Council's chairman, Councillor Nick Meekins, will be held at St Peter and St Paul Church in Wisbech on Friday, December 6, from 6pm.

Councillor Meekins said: “Christmas will be here before we know it and what better way to herald the start of the festive season than by attending an evening filled with timeless carols.

“I hope as many people as possible come along and join in the festivities, bringing their smiling faces and best singing voices.”

The event will feature carol singing, heartfelt readings, and prayers.

The Clarkson Singers will also perform, and Fenland Poet Laureate, Hannah Teasdale, will read her Christmas-inspired poem, 'For my Dad, the original Worcestershire lad'.

A collection will be held for St Peter and St Paul Church.

The event is free to attend, and everyone is welcome.

The chairman invites all to join the feel-good event and help kick-start the festive season with music and cheer.
