Anglian Water says it has now repaired a burst main that was spraying water into the sky higher than the surrounding houses.
Videos were uploaded to social media of the water gushing from the pipe on Broad End Road (East), near Emneth.

The water company – which uses the slogan ‘Love Every Drop’ - says its teams visited the site in the early hours (Thursday) to do the repairs.

It has also apologised to any nearby residents which were affected.

An Anglian Water spokesperson said: "We apologise for any inconvenience and disturbance caused to local residents on Wilkins Road in Wisbech following a burst main in the area. Our teams visited in the early hours of this morning to repair the burst.
"We're pleased to say that the repair is now complete however, if customers are experiencing any issues with their supplies they can report the issue to us on our website: https://www.anglianwater.co.uk/your-local-area/report-an-issue/
"We'd like to thank our customers for their patience while we completed this essential work."
