An axe, pliers, hammer and a screwdriver were found in Wisbech Park at the weekend.
Police attended on Sunday afternoon after they were made aware of a group of youths that reportedly had a weapon in the area.
While officers were unable to locate those involved, they recovered a backpack with the weapons inside.
A crime has been raised and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
