A community celebration featuring music, storytelling, and puppetry is set to take place.
The event, called "Legends of Lime Avenue," is being hosted by local arts project MarketPlace on the Waterlees estate, on Saturday, October 26.
The day has been co-created by community members, including residents and pupils from Orchards C of E Academy.
The day will include a puppet theatre exhibition, music, fireside storytelling, and food, all culminating in a shadow puppet performance.
The event has been made possible by funding from Clarion Futures, the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group, which manages many homes in Fenland.
The day will feature work by Orchards C of E Academy pupils and Waterlees residents, and acclaimed playwright Dan Allum has worked with the community to create a script that weaves together stories and legends from the area.
Artist Liz Falconbridge has also led shadow puppet workshops at the school, creating visuals that will feature in the finale.
Rob Drummer, programme director at MarketPlace, said: "Legends of Lime Avenue is more than just an event; it's a testament to the creativity and spirit of our community.
"With support from Clarion Futures, we're excited to bring together residents of all ages to share in this unique celebration of our local heritage and imagination."
Matt Parsonage, head of communities at Clarion Futures, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting this fantastic event which will be a chance for local people to have fun and take part in all sorts of activities.
"The team at MarketPlace have done a great job in collaborating with those living in and around the Waterlees estate, and this is the perfect way to celebrate all that this vibrant community has to offer.”
The family-friendly event will also include a walking trail from Orchards C of E Academy to the Lime Avenue event arena.
