Did you know that ignoring a “road closed” sign is a prosecutable offence? 🤔
After seeing drivers disregard the road closed sign at the Elm Road junction with West Street in Wisbech, police are in the process of sending out 11 ‘Notice of Intended Prosecutions’ (NIPs) for careless driving.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: "These signs are there for a reason and ignoring them could bring harm to yourself or others, so please follow the diversions or find an alternative route to your destination. 🚗
"If you have information about someone who has committed a driving offence, you can report them to us online via https://orlo.uk/TVcZZ."
