The mobility experts at Carelift Services are dedicated to providing customers with bespoke, cost-effective stairlift solutions to maximise independence.

Established in 2020, Carelift Services is a stairlift and mobility company based in Norwich.

Certified by the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA), the business installs a range of indoor and outdoor stairlifts across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire – including home lifts, wheelchair lifts, ceiling hoists, mobile hoists and bath lifts.

Carelift Services works with a range of manufacturers and suppliers, which ensures the local business can provide products perfectly suited to each home. The company also offers reconditioned and rental products for the most flexible, cost-effective solution.

“We put a lot of emphasis on providing good value and good service,” Liam said.

It also supports local and national companies with subcontracting services.

But, Liam said, the team prefers to work directly with customers because the end goal is always to give clients the right solution at the right price.

“Customer satisfaction is key,” he said.

Carelift Services promises a relaxed and reassuring customer experience. An initial consultation gives clients the opportunity to explain their specific requirements before the engineers conduct a survey of the home, which is free of charge. The business will then provide a no obligation quote.

“We try to be as open and honest as possible,” Liam said. “We always try to ascertain the person's situation and really dive down into the specifics to make sure what we're supplying is actually the right thing for the customer.

“For example, if a customer was pre-empting a hip replacement, we would discuss a power swivel feature whereby the seat turns with a motor. That means there's no lateral movement of the hip area, so it makes it easier to use.

“A stairlift that's either difficult to use or doesn't quite work for them is not just a waste of money – it could potentially be dangerous.”

In addition to prioritising safety and cost-effectiveness, the team always try to ensure there is a quick turnaround between consultation and installation.

Liam remembers one customer who had suffered a serious ankle injury between Christmas and New Year. She was unable to leave the hospital until she had a stairlift installed to ensure she could still get upstairs to her bedroom and bathroom.

“In that instance, we managed to complete the survey and installation on the same day as the first enquiry,” Liam said. “When there is a specific need, such as hospital discharge, we will always prioritise it to get it fitted as rapidly as possible.

“We had another situation where a lady had just came out of hospital,” Liam said. “For weeks, her daughter was making two trips a day just to help her get up and down the stairs.

“But once we had installed a curved stairlift, the mother regained her independence at home and was able to go up the stairs with no risk, and her daughter knew that she was in safe hands.”

Looking to the future, Liam hopes to build not only the size of the team but the brand’s reputation regionally.

“We want to continue the great progress we have made in East Anglia,” he said. “And who knows where we go from there?”

But whether that means Carelift Services remains a regional company or expands nationally, the business will never compromise on quality.

“Good value, good service and good customer satisfaction is our ethos – customers’ needs are at the forefront of what we do.

Stairlifts can help to maintain independenceStairlifts can help to maintain independence (Image: Carelift Services) “Installing a stairlift doesn't mean a loss of independence,” Liam said. “Actually, it helps to maintain independence.

“It means our customers can get up and down the stairs safely. They don't need people to come and aid them. There’s no risk of falling and injuring themselves.

“A stairlift or a home lift – anything that gives easier access around the home – is a worthwhile thing and we want to help as many people as possible.”
