Police in Wisbech have detailed how they are continuing to tackle street drinking and associated anti-social behaviour (ASB) in Wisbech.
Officers have been on dedicated patrols of the town centre as part of Operation Luscombe, speaking to residents and business owners about their concerns.
Wisbech town centre is covered by a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) which bans people from having open vessels of alcohol in the area.
This order gives officers greater powers when it comes to tackling the issue and can disperse people from the area and prosecute repeat offenders.
As well as these regular patrols, police have been meeting with partner agencies to discuss ways that we can work together to reduce the issue.
This includes signposting individuals to charities and agencies who can provide support around things such as substance misuse and housing.
A police spokesperson said: "This is an ongoing priority for our local neighbourhood team and, as we can’t be out and about all the time, we need your help.
"Your reports help us identify key areas of concern and those causing the ASB.
"If you witness any street drinking and ASB incidents, you can report to us via https://orlo.uk/zPqgK."
