Staff at a potato processing plant in Wisbech discovered a World War Two practice bomb yesterday.
At about 10.20am on Tuesday August 27, police received a 999 call from staff at Lamb Weston in Weasenham Lane after they found the object.
A Cambridgeshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "Concerned it looked like the head of a missile from either WWI or WWII, officers from our response and neighbourhood teams attended.
"Nearby roads were closed, along with some business evacuated while a cordon was put in place.

"The EOD were called out who assessed the object and confirmed it is the nose of a WWII practice bomb.
"It was taken away by the EOD to be disposed of."
