Three groups have joined forces to boost Whittlesey's newly-formed community hub.
Whittlesey Athletic Football Club, Helping Whittlesey and Phoenix Youth Provision are uniting their efforts to transform community support in Whittlesey.
Gary Munns, director of the Whittlesey Community Hub, spoke about the unity saying: "I welcomed the opportunity to work with other likeminded groups in the area to achieve the vision of a successful and sustainable community hub serving Whittlesey and the surrounding villages."
Mr Munns noted that the hub allows for clubs, such as the football club, to expand both sporting and community advantage.
Chair of Helping Whittlesey, Anna Foster, said: "It was great to find the perfect space in the local area to allow Helping Whittlesey projects to grow."
Among these initiatives is the community pantry and the re-use and repair hub.
A significant aspect Ms Foster mentioned was the continuity of the original community pantry at the Falcon in town, accompanied with better storage.
The collaboration not only benefits adults but also caters to the youth.
Phoenix Youth Provision director and youth co-ordinator, Anthony King, calls the venue a secure and suitable place for many years to come.
Mr King affirmed that Co-locating with other community projects makes absolute sense and they can really work together to make it a success.
Fenland District Council's Community Support Officer, Hayley Wynn, expects future growth: "I am really looking forward to seeing this develop further."

She praised those behind the programmes for their dedication to enhancing Whittlesey.
According to Ms Wynn, they are a "formidable force for good and an asset to the town".
The Whittlesey Community Hub marks a new beginning for the town as these three groups make a stand for communal growth and unity.
This hub is projected to be a cornerstone of support that Whittlesey and its surrounding areas can depend on.
