Cambridgeshire Police officers arrested a man on suspicion of multiple offences yesterday (July 16), after staff at a Wisbech bank were forced to lock their doors for safety.
Staff at the Nationwide Building Society in Wisbech Market Place called the police at around 10:30am yesterday reporting that a man was being very aggressive to staff and customers.
They locked the doors to the bank once the man had left.
Response officers attended the scene and the man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH), non-fatal strangulation, three assaults on emergency workers, indecent exposure and escaping lawful custody.
He remains in custody.

A spokesperson for the force said: "This incident caused a bit of a stir in the centre yesterday so we wanted to provide an update and also thank members of the public who were very helpful!"
