A man in his 20s died following a collision which happened near Wisbech earlier in the week, police have confirmed.
Police have now issued an appeal for witnesses following the incident in Emneth on Monday morning (June 24).
It happened on the A1101 Outwell Road at 8.25am when a silver Ford Fiesta collided with a yellow Ford Ranger.
The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene including fire, ambulance and air ambulance.
The man in his 20s was the driver of the Ford Fiesta.
He was initially taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in King’s Lynn, by road.
Later, he transferred by air to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with life threatening injuries and died the following day (Tuesday).
The driver of the Ford Ranger, a man aged in his 60s, was taken by air to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
He remains there in a serious but stable condition.
The road reopened at around 2pm.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has any relevant dashcam footage.
