A popular tearoom in the Fens is shutting this weekend.
Dotties Tea Room opened just a year and a half ago at The Chequers Inn, in Friday Bridge.
Announcing the closure on their Facebook page, the owners said: "It is with great sadness that we will be closing our beautiful Dotties Tea Room for reasons totally beyond our control.
"We have loved being part of such a lovely village and getting to know all the locals and the kind people that travelled for miles to see us.
"We would like to thank all our amazing staff and are so sad to have to let you all go but you have all been the best employees and we know you will go on to do great things.
"We would like to thank all our local suppliers for all of your pretty and tasty homemade cakes that we have all loved so much and produce that's gone into all the items on our menu.
"Lastly, me and Russ would like to thank our wonderful customers for all your support over the last 18 months."
The post adds that Dotties' last day of trading will be Saturday: "if you have any vouchers that you cannot use before this date, please message us and we will honour them."
We have contacted Dotties Tea Room for further comment.
