A care home in Wisbech celebrated the 79th anniversary of VE Day in style today (May 8).
Rose Lodge Care Home threw a 1940s-themed afternoon tea party for their celebrations and decorated the home in red, white and blue.
Staff and residents also dressed up in 1940s-inspired fashion and enjoyed an afternoon of dancing to British classics.
Local performers, KJ and Catt, sang a medley of songs including some Vera Lynn and the national anthem.
Residents donned British-themed accessories and waved flags during the performance.

The catering team at Rose Lodge made some biscuits, sandwiches, cakes and pastries for the tea.
The residents sat with tea and fizz to celebrate VE Day, and share their experiences of living through the war.
Megan Jones, General Manager at Rose Lodge said: “Many of our residents can remember the end of the war and we all know what it meant for our country so we wanted to celebrate the date and listen to our resident’s memories of the war and the experiences they lived through.”
