An inquest has been opened into the death of a missing man whose body was discovered in a river in Wisbech.
David Cross, 35, was reported missing on February 4 by staff at The Ferry Project in Wisbech.
He was seen on CCTV in the passageway by Nene Terrace on January 31 at 11:24pm.
After almost three weeks of media appeals, police revealed on February 22 that a body believed to be Mr Cross had been found in a river at South Brink.
Elizabeth Gray, an area coroner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, has now opened an inquest into his death.

At the brief hearing held on March 18, she said: “[Mr Cross] was [initially] identified by officers from distinctive tattoo on his left hand and his clothing description having been previously reported to police as a high-risk missing person.”
Mr Cross’ cause of death was still pending a post-mortem and histology examinations.
“I will adjourn the inquest to be listed at a date to be advised,” Ms Gray added.
