The High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire recently visited a care home in Wisbech.
Dr Bharatkumar Khetani joined residents at Rose Lodge Care Home to view their facilities and enjoy refreshments on Wednesday March 13 - just a couple of weeks before he is due to step down from his role.
During the visit, many topics were discussed but most were in regards to the work he has been doing over the past year and the many events he and his wife, Pritty, have attended.
Rose Lodge also presented their newest initiative, a ‘wish’ post box, which has been decorated and personalised by residents.
The idea is that they can post a ‘wish’ for the homes team to try and fulfil - one of the first requested was a hot air balloon ride.
Georgia, customer relationship manager at Rose Lodge Care Home, said: “It was such an honour for us to welcome High Sheriff Dr Bharatkumar Khetani and his wife here for the day.
“The residents were delighted that they were able to visit us and enjoy refreshments.
“We were all in awe at the work the High Sheriff Dr Bharatkumar Khetani has been doing over the past year.
“We hope he and his wife enjoy their well-deserved break when he steps down.”
