A former X Factor finalist from Peterborough visited the Fens and raised £500 for a charity that's very close to her heart.
Soul singer Nicole Lawrence performed at Wisbech St Mary Community Centre in memory of her late father, Greg, and to help support the British Heart Foundation.
After an evening of dancing and mingling with guests, a grand raffle raised around £500 for the charity. Other funding helped towards Nicole’s £10,000 target, too.
The evening was enjoyed by many local people plus others who had travelled from different parts of the country - including many in excess of a three-hour trip.
"Her vocal ability and charisma was outstanding," said organiser Graham Drew.
"Thank You Nicole for a great evening and all the best with your fundraising and the London Marathon on April 21," added Graham, on behalf of all of the guests and supporters from Wisbech St Mary Community Centre.
"It was a brilliant, unbelievable night!"
