Alderman Payne Primary School celebrated its 90th birthday of the school opening earlier this month.
The older children interviewed three elderly people who joined the school when it first opened.
They found out all about how the school was originally opened as a secondary school where children went from the age of 11 until 14, with Murrow being the Primary school at the time.
They also learned about the first headteacher, Mr. Potter, and were shown his original cane.
One surprising thing that they learned was how little schools have changed; how children 90 years ago still did reading, times tables, assembly and PE, albeit without the use of technology.
The children then had a small tea party to celebrate the 90th birthday of the school.
The adults who came in to be interviewed commented that it was a pleasure to work with the children, as they were polite and asked interesting questions.
Later that week, parents were treated to a dance performance reflecting some of the music over the past 90 years, as well as hearing about how Parson Drove has changed over that time.
