A man who was found dead in his prison cell at HMP Peterborough died of natural causes, an inquest has concluded.
Mark Coleman, 45, of no fixed abode, had been arrested and bailed on suspicion of the murder of Wisbech woman Eliza Bibby in January this year.
But he was remanded in custody in connection with “unrelated allegations” when he died on the afternoon of January 25.
The medical cause of Mr Coleman’s death has been given as a form of heart disease.
An inquest in writing was heard before Anita Davies, an assistant coroner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, on November 13.
In October, a 48-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of Ms Bibby’s murder on January 9.
Jamie Boughen, of Waterlees Road, Wisbech, fatally stabbed the 47-year-old in the neck multiple times at her bungalow in Beechwood Road.
A friend found her at around 6am the next morning.
Boughen’s trial and sentencing took place at Cambridge Crown Court where he was told he would serve a minimum of 22 years in prison.
