A former Wisbech man has had his debut poetry collection published.
Tony Mcintosh's book, 'Assorted Musings', was published by Austin Macauley earlier this year.
The Wisbech-born and raised author said: "The collection of 30 poems was my debut in the writing world, something that really accelerated a couple of years ago, prior to retirement.
"The impetus for penning the poems was partly inspired by my father (a true Fenman, ex Normandy veteran and retired Wisbech businessman).
"However, the poetry is my unique take on life and observations thereof, incorporating humour, wildlife and solemnity amongst others.
"My book, available in paperback from a wide range of outlets and online distributors, is freely available. The introductory blurb can be read by Googling the book title and my pen name."
He added that "ironically, one of the poems ('sad old town') is generic but very much with Wisbech in mind.
"In our sometimes ailing society, it could apply to anywhere, particularly where there is deprivation."
