A Wisbech resident had an unexpected discovery when he unearthed a wartime bomb shelter in his garden.
Jack Barnes, who lives on Lynn Road, found the World War II reinforced concrete bomb shelter when he was doing some gardening.
He said: "We didn’t even know it was there until, one day, we were doing some gardening and found a step and another and another.
"Eventually, we decided to clear it out and make some repairs.
"It was previously completely filled with mud and rubbish," he added.
"There was a door in the back that lead to the next door neighbour's bunker, but they decided not to dig their's out so we blocked the doorway up with blocks and cement."
He described the unexpected find as "a nice bit of local history".
