A man was treated in hospital for stab wounds following an incident in Wisbech town centre.
Police say he has since been discharged and their investigation is ongoing following the incident on Friday night (September 22).
The emergency services were called at 8:50pm to reports of violence involving two men in the Market Place.
A police spokesperson said: “The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital to receive treatment for stab wounds. He has since been discharged.
“An investigation is ongoing.”
The East of England Ambulance Service said the Magpas Air Ambulance and three ambulance vehicles formed the medical response to the incident.
"One patient with serious injuries was transported by road ambulance to hospital," a spokeperson said.
A cordon was put in place in the area around the former Beales department store building for forensics to carry out their investigations.
