More than 70 senior members of the Tydd St Giles Golf Club took part in the annual Bob Johns Classic golf competition on August 8.
The competition was sponsored by family member John Leake in memory of his father-in-law Bob Johns.
John thanked everyone for taking part and was pleased to announce that £540 was raised for Cancer Research UK.
The competition format was a 'shot gun' start with a four-ball team event, John stepped up after the event to present the prizes.
Results: First with 123 points was: Stephen Horton, Ian Millett, Toby North, John Leake and Joe Connolly. Second place with 122 points: Gary Brown, Steve Skoulding, Mick Vassall, and Paul Chaplain- Barton. Nearest the pin 4th hole - Tim Martin, neartest the pin 8th hole - Dave Leake, nearest the pin 11th hole - Lee Smith, nearest the pin 16th hole - Trevor Hunt.
The two’s pot on the day came to £76 which was won by Steve Skoulding, Trevor Hunt, and Tom Ainsley all who very generously donated to the charity.
