Police are urging local residents to report any suspicious circumstances to them after an incident in Wisbech St Mary involving people on a moped and wearing balaclavas.
Officers said that the incident was reported on Facebook but has not been reported to police.
"We are aware of an incident in Wisbech St Mary at about 6am this morning involving people on a moped and wearing balaclavas.
"Please do report any suspicious circumstances to us, particularly given the recent spate of moped thefts – if we’re not aware, we can’t take any action.
"We are working alongside Lincs and Norfolk police and a number of stolen mopeds have been recovered in different areas of Wisbech and across the Lincolnshire border, the latest being recovered this afternoon.
