Members of the Tydd St Giles Golf Club remembered 'great character' John Gamble during a recent competition.
110 club members took part in a competition to remember John who was a member for many years.
A charity raffle was organised and club captain Andy Hicks announced that £780 had been raised for the Holbeach Hospital charity. Members were thanked for their support,
Competition results: First overall was Neil John who came in with a score of 44 points; second with 41 points was Terry Pease, third was Phil Wilkinson with 40 points, fifth was Malcolm Pack with 39 points, sixth was Ady Bills with 37 points, seventh was Terry Langdale with 36 points, and in eighth place was Luke Stanford with 36 points.
Ladies first place was Liz Miller with 43 points and second was Lorraine Gallie with 31 points.
Nearest the pin fourth hole - Terry Pease, nearest the pin eighth hole - Ady Bills, nearest the pin eleventh hole - Ken Parker, nearest the pin 16th hole James Woods, nearest the pin in 18th hole - James Busveilds.
Seniors individual Stableford results Division 1 winner Chris Moore 41 points, second ocb Mick Vassall 37 points, third ocb Michael Flint 37 points, division 2 winner Paul Rushbrook 39 points, second - Ken Parker 38 points, third - Andy Turner 36 points, division three winner Russell Doy 45 points, second Gary Brown 40 points, third - Steve Skoulding 39 points, division four winner Trevor Hunt 44 points, second ocb Ken Sherry 40 points, third ocb David Worrall 40 points.
