Some dressed as crocodiles, some as Captain Hook as staff donned their costumes for this year’s World Book Day.
More than 50 staff at Thomas Clarkson Academy in Wisbech joined in the fun of the annual event on March 2, where departments dressed to a specific theme.
For instance, the humanities group dressed as characters from Peter Pan, including a crocodile and the science departments dressing from The Wizard of Oz.

And even William Shakespeare joined for lessons.
Leanne Robinson, librarian and event organiser, said: “World Book Day is a nice way for staff to get involved in something that’s fun and encourages our students to think about how characters become part of our lives.”
