A Wisbech charity shop is looking for more volunteers – and is organising a fun day to encourage people to join them.
Sue Ryder, in Wisbech, has been struggling with recruitment since the shop reopened after the pandemic.
The shop, on the Market Place, will be hosting the fun day for potential volunteers to discover what it is like to help there, and if it could be for them.
It will take place on December 11 (Sunday), the same day as the Wisbech Christmas Market, between 10am and 4pm.
Emma Lyden, Shop Manager at Wisbech Sue Ryder, said: “Our upcoming open day is an opportunity to show more of our local community why volunteering for Sue Ryder is so important.
“As it’s on the day of the Christmas market, we hope to spread some festive cheer too, as we’ll all be in our Christmas jumpers!!
She added: “Being a volunteer is flexible and can be timed to suit the individual, whether that’s mornings, weekends or a mix of everything.
“All contributions will help raise money for Sue Ryder to provide services to people facing a terminal illness, neurological condition or a bereavement.
“Our amazing volunteers help ensure Sue Ryder can be there when it matters.”
