Wisbech based business, Eastern Frames, has sponsored the team for two years and given the club £3,000 for investment into their players and teams.
Carlos Amaral, a national coach from the National Roller Hockey Association, presented the cheque on behalf of the club.
He spoke about how Investment at a local level in roller hockey is vital for the sport going forward and personally thanked the directors of Eastern Frames, Del and Anthony Boyle.
The two said: “As a family run company we like to support local teams wherever we can, we recently found out Skater Rink Hockey Club had no sponsorship meaning the club was running on fundraising and volunteering alone, hopefully this money will go towards ensuring the club can continue along with all their great efforts! We are proud to be a part of it.”
Lucy Davies, chairperson and trustee of the club, said: “The investment means that we can focus on developing our players and teams and invest in equipment that helps those new to the sport.”
