Residents and staff at a care home in Marshland St James have been getting into the creative spirit by creating a scarecrow and pumpkin display.
Hickathrift House joined in with the West Norfolk villages scarecrow and pumpkin trail which run until November 1.
Throughout October, residents designed, built and displayed their scarecrow family and pumpkins for the home’s local community friends to enjoy.
General manager Paula Colman said: “Our residents have really enjoyed planning and creating our display to share with our community friends and we are always keen to support in any way we can.”
An array of pumpkins also joins the extended family which consists of three different ‘residents’ and one care assistant who are now proudly sitting at the front of the home smiling and waving to the community.
The home’s new family have certainly been causing a stir and the home has received some ‘super’ feedback.
Teresa, who lives near the home, said: “On my dog walk I had the absolute pleasure of meeting a few of the residents the other day as they were outside looking at the display.
“I thought they were just brilliant. They’ve certainly done a great job!”
