Shoppers were on hand to catch a glimpse of TV presenter Stephen Mulhern today (Wednesday).
Mulhern was spotted at the Asda supermarket in Wisbech this morning as he was filming for ITV’s In for a Penny game show.
Sporting a Christmas jumper, Mulhern was on his latest stop for what ITV describe as an “epic portable game show”.
One shopper who saw the game show host was Megan Belverstone, who was shocked to see him.
“I saw him at 10.25am and I was in Asda for about 30 minutes,” she said.
“He was playing ‘higher or lower’ and [When I first saw him], I thought ‘oh my God, he’s in Wisbech'.”
Debra Leighton was shopping with her grandson when she heard Mulhern's voice.
"After paying for my shopping, I had to go and find him as I could not leave without getting a photograph," she said.
"He was his usual, exuberant self; very cheerful but also very busy."
In for a Penny challenges members of the public across the country to compete for cash through taking part in a series of games.
And after seeing him in person for what may well be a Christmas episode of the show, Megan is one of those who will be watching on television.
“There were probably 20 to 30 people watching, including members of the public and staff,” said Megan.
“I’ll definitely be watching.”
Last month, Mulhern was seen filming an episode of In for a Penny at Peterborough Cathedral.
The former CITV presenter has previously worked on other ITV shows, such as Catchphrase and Britain’s Got More Talent.
