ROGER JOHN DEWSBURY Aged 81, passed away suddenly at March Rifle Club, due to natural causes, after firing a single shot on 9th January, 2024. The shot was straight through the bull's-eye, emblematic of his pursuit of perfection throughout life - a standard he often met. From a successful academic career to becoming a director of a national company in South Africa, Roger exemplified meticulousness, rarely overlooking details in his endeavours. Known for his unwavering commitment to others, Roger consistently put their needs before his own, leaving an indelible mark on those he encountered. As James O' Barr eloquently stated, "If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them." Roger's legacy lives on in the cherished memories shared by family and friends, don't let it stop. Roger is survived by his devoted wife, Liz Dewsbury, his mother Hilda Kempton, and his son, Ian. In lieu of flowers or cards, donations to the East Anglia Air Ambulance in his name will be appreciated. May Roger rest in peace, his spirit forever remembered and his legacy enduring.
